1977 1/2 Continental Mark V Spring Feature Edition

In the Spring of 1977, Lincoln introduced a luxurious and spirited schemed Continental Mark V dubbed the Spring Feature Edition.  The car featured either Dove Grey Non Metallic Paint Code 1N or as shown here Dark Metallic Blue Code 3G and either a Dove Grey or Dark Blue Valino Grain Landau Vinyl Roof or a Full Vinyl Roof.  The interior featured similar opposing shades such as this Dove Grey Leather with Dark Blue Leather Trim.  The Continental Town Car could also be ordered with this special limited edition paint in Cordovan and Cream.

A very rare survivor 1977 Continental Mark V Finishes Prototype automobile.  This car was purchased from Ford’s B Lot in 1978 and has been drive 105,000 miles since new.  Besides the unique wheel and interior treatments, it is also painted in Crystal Blue Metallic Paint Code 2D which was not introduced until 1979 and only on the Continental Mark V Hubert de Givenchy Designer Series.  This is believed to be a proposed Majestic Special Edition.

Although the exact origination of this 1978 Continental Mark V Diamond Jubilee Hybrid Edition cannot be determined, it appears that it was a customization conversion completed by a Lincoln Mercury dealer prior to the sale of the car.  This special car has only 5300 miles on the odometer and began life as a Red and Rose Luxury Group automobile and then the Diamond Jubilee flourishes were added.
